The liqueur is clear and yellowish, and has a very pleasant taste, particularly refreshing, very vegetable, a little bitter and acidic but without astringency. Rich in caffeine, it was consumed before the arrival of coffee in Latin America. It is prepared like tea but it is interesting to take it in the traditional way in a calabash and with a straw.
